Upload trouble

We've seen posts reporting that the upload button is failing for many of you- especially users using Firefox as their web-browser. The team here has been informed of the situation and is currently trying to resolve the matter.

In the meantime, as a temporary fix, you could try switching to a different web-browser in order to upload files from your computer to our site. This may help you upload videos without encountering the bug.

We really appreciate your reports informing us of the situation and your patience as the team fixes the issue.

  1. Ok, so you switched the order of comments on full-view from newest to oldest. Congratulation. But then why is there a "newest" link at the bottom for the newest page, and "oldest" link at the bottom for the older?

    Seriously, are the programmers for this website mentally retarded?

  2. I have uploaded a new video with iMovie a couple of times and it never shows up. When the upload finishes it points me to my http://www.youtube.com/user/NickySmithGbro URL. The video is just 6 minutes long and size is acceptable. I receptly updated iMovie and suspect there might be a problem. Anyone else having iMovie upload problems since yesterday?

  3. I've been trying to upload a clip as a quicktime file and u tube will not recognize the file. As far as i know, it is just an MP4 format so this is very frusrating. What the bloody hell else can i use.

  5. I want to upload a video of my dog doing a funny trick but the system won't let me signup for an account. I keep getting this message "Sorry. Based on the information you have submitted to us, you are ineligible to register for YouTube.com."
    I have tried at least 50 times and still same message. What the hell am I suppose to do?

    I am the only person using the IP Address from my computer. This all seems futile. :(

  6. I'm currently trying to put a speech on her for my college speech course...which the speech is due on monday. And i'm not able to put it on her. It will sit and try to upload for hours.

    Failed (unable to convert video file)AND I CAN FIGER OUT HOW TO CHANGE THE VIDEO FROMAT SO I NEED HELP OR SHOULD U GO ON IT AND FIX IT THE NAME OF IT IS

  9. chctnt ihave trouble uploadind my video is says
    java either is turned off or adobe flash needs up date but java is updated and adobe is lastest version how do i check if java is on and is latest version of either ok

I get like the weirdest error, i'm using mp4 and all other youtube recommendations for video uploading, and im using IE 7 to upload and i always get this "unknown error" like 1/4 - 1/2 through the upload. Youtube I've done everything you've told me and you still fail. fix this, i got tons of videos pilling up.

  12. Im trying to upload a video, but the upload just gets stuck around 25% with 14mins left. I've waited couple mins to see if it moves but it just stuck at the point. Im using Firefox, I've tried IE but that was even worse, the whole browser just gave up on me. lol

  14. cant upload a video. Its 5.4 KB , MPEG4. I tried changing it to AVI file. I tried both firefox and explorer. I get an unknown error. Help?

  16. I upload tons of times a video that is :
    Size - 6.69MB
    Duration : 1 min 49 seconds.
    It is a Windows Media Audio/Video file
    I had already compressed it with WMV! T-T
    And it said fail and unknown error...
    Can someone tell me why?

    removed ond of my manager files
    HP has my computor now looking into this problem

  19. start the uploading of files in my computer. i ee the ellow upload buon and execxt to see a option to browse tthe files in my Video folder

  20. Starting last Friday (6/26), only the first 45 seconds or so of my uploads are posted.....is this related to FIREFOX MOZILA?.....uploads have always worked in the past. Looking forward to correction....best wishes

  21. Try using Google Gears to bulk upload, fixes the problem for me.
